A great place to stop is Trap Falls in the Willard Brook State Forest in Ashby, MA. Just a short .1 mile brookside walk leads you to a picnic area and a wooden walking bridge over the brook. There you can view the approximately 12 foot waterfall up close and personal.
"Trap Falls is actually a series of three separate cascades that all plunge into a shallow pool at their base. The center cascade is the highest and features a picturesque, bowl-like depression.
