This image is an interior architectural photo of Nurses Hall located in the Massachusetts State House in Boston. It is built largely of Pavonazzo marble. It's called Nurses' Hall due to the statue there of an Army war nurse, located on the far wall in this image. This statue was sculpted in 1914 by Bela Pratt, and was the first statue erected in honor of the women of the North after the Civil War.
Nurses' Hall also features several murals by Robert Reid depicting events crucial to the start of the American Revolution. They include Paul Revere's ride of April 19, 1775 and the Boston Tea Party. Welcome to my Fine Art Gallery! I'm Betty Denise, and I am a native New Englander. As you will see when browsing through my gallery my photography, and artwork, are very much eclectic. My hope is to create images that evoke emotion, appreciation, or nostalgia in my viewers. You can browse here, comment on, and...

Very lovely interior shot; for some reason it reminded me of the Louvre in Paris! Well done (and I enjoyed reading your description and learning about it).
